How to play Big Split Poker.
On this high-action skill game, you start in familiar territory.  You can play Big Split Poker using the rules of four video poker games:  "Big Split Poker," "Deuces Wild," "Joker Poker," "Joker Joker Poker."  So, choose your favorite game, and get ready to play an exciting new video poker game.
Just like your favorite video poker games, you can bet 1 to 5 points per hand, with a new twist.  Simply press the Bet Per Paytable button to select the number of points you want to play on each hand.
Selecting 2 Paytables bet will double your bet and activate the multipliers for the 3-card hand.
For maximum action, play both paytables with 5 points per paytable for 10 points of action per game.  Or, simply press the Max Bet Deal button.
Now, the fun starts.  Press the Deal button to get your 8-card hand.  You will know right away if you have a potentially winning hand when the green indicator lamps turn on!  No need to waste any time with a hand that can't be played into a winner, because the Game Over sign will appear and the game is over.
Study the 8-card deal and start to build your top hand of 5 cards.  In the basic version of Big Split Poker, to win, the 5-card hand must be two-pair, containing Jacks or Better, or any higher hand.  If the green indicator bars light up, then there is always at least one winning 5-card hand.  Start building your winning hand by using the touch screen or the buttons to slide 5 cards to the top of the felt.  Don't worry about making a mistake, because in Big Split Poker, the fun is in changing your mind and moving the cards back and forth to find the best winning combination.
So far, you have brought a pair of Kings and a pair of fives up to begin to build the top 5 card hand.  That's two pair containing Jacks or Better, so you are winning on the 5-card paytable with 5 points in the bank.  Don't stop yet, because the real action is just starting.  How you finish the 5-card hand will make a big difference if we can get the 3-card paytable multiplier into the action.
Touching the 5th card automatically forms the lower 3-card hand.   Bringing up the 3 of diamonds automatically drops the pair of 2s and the 4 of diamonds to the bottom hand.  That pair is a winning hand on the bottom, with a paytable multiplier of 2 on the right side 3-card paytable.  A box over the cards appears, with your 5-card pay of 5, and your 3-card multiplier of 2, for a total of 10 points.
How much can you win on this hand?  Are you done?  Can you use your poker skill to build a better hand?  Your real poker skill comes into play right now.  And you don't need to memorize any strategy at home or squint at a strategy card to be a big winner!  Look at your hand again.  The 3 of diamonds isn't doing you any good on the top hand, so switch the cards around to look for a better combination.  Touch the 3 of diamonds on the top, then touch the 2 of clubs in the bottom hand.
The cards switch positions and you have a straight flush now on your 3-card bottom hand.  That's worth a bonus multiplier of 14X! The box over your hand tells you the great news: your 5-card pay is still 5, but your 3-card multiplier is now 14, for a total of 70 points.
Since this is the best winning combination, press the Submit button and collect your 70 points and get ready for the next deal.  You found the best combination without ever having to memorize a strategy table or squint at a strategy card.  There is nothing to get in the way of your own skill in Big Split Poker, unlike any other video poker game in the casino.
There is more than one way to play Big Split Poker.  You can also play an 8-card deal to build just a 5-card hand.  Simply set the Paytables Bet button to "1" and deal the cards.  Build your best 5-card hand on the top row, and the left side 5-card paytable tells you what you win.  Of course, you don't get a bonus for the bottom hand, and that's important.  Just like playing maximum coin in standard video poker brings the royal flush bonus into play, playing both paytables in Big Split Poker kicks up the odds in your favor.
Remember, when the green bars illuminate after the deal, there is at least one winning 5-card hand.  If you set your top hand and the win calculator doesn't appear, keep going - switch those cards until you have at least 2 pair, with one pair being at least a pair of Jacks.  If you Submit a losing hand on the top, even with a 3-of-a-kind on the bottom, the game will ask you to confirm this request, giving you a chance to find the winner.
Of course, you won't make such a silly mistake.  But remember, Big Split Poker is very much a skill game.  There can be more than one winning combination in many hands.  Some players will leave money on the table, so skilled players can win big on the generous paytables.  So, form your best hand, switch your cards around until you find the best hand, because you only lock in when you press Submit.  Good luck!
Best of all...nothing to memorize!
